Nutella Mug Cake

I occasionally suffer from a deep craving for cake. This recipe takes minutes to make and satisfies that craving. Simply mix flour, baking powder, Nutella, milk, and vanilla extract in a mug, microwave it, and voila! Top it with your favorite extras like powdered sugar, ice cream, or whipped cream, and indulge in a delicious single-serving dessert.

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

  • 3 tablespoons Nutella

  • 3 tablespoons milk

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (Optional)

Directions

  • In a microwave-safe mug, whisk together the 4 tablespoons of flour and 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder.
  • Add the 3 tablespoons of Nutella, 3 tablespoons of milk, and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the mug. Stir well until the batter is smooth and no lumps remain.
  • Microwave the mug on high power for about 1 minute and 30 seconds to 2 minutes. The cake should rise and become firm to the touch but still moist.
  • Remove the mug from the microwave (careful, it will be hot), and let it cool for a minute or two.
  • If desired, add toppings such as powdered sugar, whipped cream, chopped nuts, or a dollop of Nutella. Enjoy your delicious Nutella mug cake directly from the mug!
