Ginger Mocktail

This mocktail is flavorful and quick to make. I love to have it on warm summer nights. It uses my homemade ginger extract and simple syrup recipes. Remember, the ginger extract recipe is a byproduct of making delicious ginger candies.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 ounces of ginger extract

  • Juice of half a lemon

  • 3/4 ounce sugar syrup

  • A shake of orange bitters

Directions

  • In a shaker, add ice and the juice of half a lemon. Add 1 1/2 of an ounce of ginger extract and 3/4 oz of simple syrup.
  • Shake the mixture well to combine all the ingredients. The shaker should feel cold to the touch.
  • In a glass of your choice, pour the mixture over ice.
  • Finally, top off the drink with 3/4 cup of seltzer water.
