Chocolate Chip Cookies
Chocolate Chip Cookies are a staple dessert. My version of this classic uses two types of chocolate chips for an elevated flavor. I highly recommend letting the dough sit for 30 minutes in the fridge to get the best flavor profile.

1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375F.
- Combine 1 cup of flour, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon salt in a small bowl. Beat 1/2 cup of butter, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, 1/2 cup brown sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract in a mixing bowl until creamy. Add 1 egg. Slowly stir in flour mixture. Mix in 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips.
- Let dough chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.
- Drop rounded tablespoon onto parchment paper lined baking sheets.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool and serve.
