Oven Meatballs

1/3 cup milk
1/3 cup finely chopped onion
1 egg
1 cup of panko bread crumbs
1 lb ground meat (turkey, chicken, pork)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 375 F.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the 1/3 cup of milk, 1/3 cup of chopped onion, 1 egg, and 1 cup of bread crumbs. Let the mixture rest for 3 to 5 minutes to absorb some of the liquid.
- Mix in 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, 1/2 teaspoon dried basil, and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. Add 1 lb of ground meat to the mixture.
- Make small meatballs approximately 1 to 1 1/2 inches in diameter and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20 to 30 minutes, until fully cooked.
